The Ask
After 160 years of market stability, the firm found itself in the middle of a market transformation characterised by the transition from paper to digital based processes.
The client’s business vision statement was “to remain the world leader in the manufacturing” using innovation by becoming a data-led organisation. The fundamental building block is achieving a modern digital infrastructure using ‘Think Cloud’ approach. To this end, and given the transition to digital platform, the organisation faced significant challenges in IT across infrastructure, WAN/LAN, Security and IT Operating model to establish a sustainable position in the new market environment.
Our Process
In assisting the CIO and Head of Data, igen43 was engaged in planning and leading the IT Digital Strategy and designing Target Operating Model by identifying the gaps & issues and to define the target state in supporting their business goals and objectives. Highlight key activities executed and delivered include:
Assessing the incumbent IT Estate and the underlying the infrastructure
Identifying a set of business led ‘core requirements’ which will be used to identify the future capabilities required for the organisation
Designing a cloud-based IT Target Operating Model which provides improved service and operations, together with a lower cost model
Outlining the detailed project plan and perform the readiness activities within the business & IT for the cloud migration
